24 year old Melbourne based producer Ren Riz started honing his skills in the early 2000s, making hiphop and oldschool electro beats. In the mid 2000s Riz released an instrumental hiphop album and 7″ under the name Crytearia, earning him airplay on national youth broadcaster Triple J. Riz first got into electronic music at the age of 12, thanks to a local pirate radio station and their affinity for Daft Punk’s ‘Homework’. 10 years later a trip to Paris got him interested in music coming out on labels like Institubes and Ed Banger, and it wasn’t long before he began focusing on electro music under the name Ren Riz.
